amk compressor dessicant change

has anyone been successful at changing the air dryer media without removing the compressor (amk) from the car it looks fiddley but can it be done thanks
 please excuse any grammer/punctuation mistakes,i'm thick,thankyou

Its a lot easier to just pull out the compressor. You do not need to remove the bracket!!

Pop out the voss lines and the elec cons, then remove the compressor vibration dampers from between the compressor and the mounting bracket . Slide the compressor forwards and out! While you have it out you can now strip the relevant components for inspection cleaning and lubrication. You can use either the Hitachi desiccant and filters or AMK, if using Hitachi you need to cut the filters down to size as the AMK has a smaller drier. Do not remove the cyl head unless you suspect a leak or can see corrosion. (white powder)
If removing the head, clean carefully the surface corrosion trying not to damage the clear protective aluminium coating. Smear a thin film of good quality silicone on the cyl head seal (Tec7) and reasemble.
