Disco4 remote central locking not working

I took the battery off my disco last night to give it a charge. Put it back in this morning and everything seems to be working fine, it starts Ok, no warning lights, but the remote central locking is not working at all, neither is the proximity function. If I use a key to lock/unlock the doors, the central locking motors all work and the same thing happens with the spare key fob so I assume it is an issue with the receiver. Anyone out there able to give me a clue what I've done wrong and how to fix it?

Does the car make a “beep” when you try to lock? - if it does a door, boot or the bonnet is not closed, if it is silent a door actuator has failed.
When you lock with the key check all doors have locked, although I thought the key only manually operated the front passenger door Thumbs Up
 It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.
