Hi Mark,
Yeah all safe. SWMBO (driving) was shaken up, driver of first vehicle also shaken and passenger in the second vehicle suffered a cut lip. I have photos of the other vehicles and dashcam footage from a vehicle following mine. As I said earlier, I'm a bit reluctant to load everything onto the Forum whilst the insurance process is in it's infancy.

Rebuild it! It looks worse than it probably is.

Went to look at the car at the accident repair centre last Friday. The assessor showed me round - top bloke - estimated repair cost £18-20k. As I feared, a write-off
In keeping with the Forum's mantra - no photos and it didn't happen - here are some more photos for your delectation.
Not only has the steering rack sheared off it's mountings from the chassis
The steering rack has snapped
The chassis has also taken a beating
I think he said the left leg was 40mm higher than the right
Apologies for the poor quality of some of the photos. Maybe Del could work his magic.
Whilst I was down there I started the engine - fired first time, sweet as a nut and no lights on the dash
It'll be interesting to see what the insurance company offer - preparing for a fight. I'll post the exact details of the crash including photos of the other vehicles once that's sorted. I'll be losing the courtesy car this week as well - Volvo V40 T2 - nice motor. Not a patch on the D3, though. It took me 9 months to find this one, so I guess it'll be bangernomics until the right one appears.

Just delete the “normal_” bit from each pic code, should sharpen them up a bit.
Shame she’s for the scrapper but she did her job protecting her cargo.

Sorry Del,
I tried editing the post and removed the normal_ from the image tag and it just made the picture bigger. I've put it back now. Can you explain where from where I should remove the normal_ please.
