Hi Richard
Many thanks
But can't see any thing in relation to my problem with my headlight problem
Can ony one answer why do my headlights not flash I.E when you pull the dip/high beam lever towards steering wheel
Like when you flash to say thank you to people or ok to go or ????
mine does not flash the high beam light comes on in the dash and you can hear a clonk like a relay but lights don't flash
yet when you have head lights on they do STRANGE !!!
Headlamp flash via the indicator stalk is wired independent of the headlamp wiring, is there a separate fuse? Does high beam in the CCF refer to auxiliary driving lamps? Take an headlamp off and check what power you are getting at the lamp socket. It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

High Beam fitted seems to relate the pre MY14 halogen and xenon lights which had the extra H7 bulb for high beam.
I've seen people change this setting as per the picture and it solved the problem.

No problem, fingers crossed just backup your CCF settings and ensure the vehicle has a good power supply or battery before any updates.
I'm keen myself to know the results before I splash out on a £800 pair of xenons and a new grill to see if it works!

Take a bow Cheshire Dan.
Not sure when this intel came to light but it fixes the MY14 headlight update flash issue
So to confirm, IID Tool, untested menu, set High beam lamps to Not fitted as per image below

I can't take the credit, I saw a chap post that info and a screenshot on the Discovery 3 & 4 Owners Group on Facebook.
Did you get any side affects or weird fault codes? If so this means people no longer need to pay for fancy Autologic changes or installing extra wiring and relays.

Well you alerted me to that info and i'm a member of that group and had missed it
It has been on my list for ages to investigate - had even asked FL2 site for CCF dump to compare ... but no longer needed 8)
Can confirm it works without any errors being logged which makes the autologic and relay hack redundant

There’s another CCF option on the 14 to 16MY that may control this but I doubt it will be available on earlier vehicles. It’s called Dedicated Daylight Running Behaviour.
There’s also another edit for headlight washers. This CCF is I think found on 10 to 16 MY and is set to Scandinavian for the 14 to 16MY UK spec vehicles so should work on the 10 to 14MY cars with it changed from disabled to Scandinavian .

No those shots are from Genesis. It’s a handy tool allowing the viewing of the CCF for a VIN and then shows what percentage of vehicles were installed with that CCF setting. I.E. if a CCF setting had say 10 options, Genesis will show you the most likely setting you would need, 8 are probably zero % as not used but then there will be something like one ‘undefined’ at 80% and one ‘fitted’ at 20%.
It also allows you to compare the CCF in one car against another (of the same generation). So you could compare Disco 4 GS to a Landmark and see what the CCF differences are and what you may need to change in order to activate a retrofit. It’s pretty simple.012MY RRS 5.0 Supercharged Autobiography (Current)
