I’ve got the Wildpeaks on mine and have to say I’m very impressed.

Hi!

I finally chose the Toyo Open Country AT3. I was doubting between the Terratoura and the Open Country, but then there was no stock of Terratoura's and that was decisive...

They don't look as aggresive as in the web, but I like them.

By now, only tested on dry road. Really good feeling, both on higway and on curvy mountain road! I didn't look for their limits, but they feel very direct, and the previous "floating" feeling disappeared. It's like having a new Disco!

We went skiing and on a short, but snow covered parking ramp, the Disco climbed as if there was no snow on it!

Now I'm expecting for future snowy days, 4x4 muddy (not extreme) tracks, with illusion!!!

Thanks for your attention!!!

Hi, what sort of MPG are folks getting in the Toyo's? I work on Windfarms so spend time on rough tracks as well as the motorway miles to an from site. I like the look of the Toto's, reports on the Coopers puncturing has put me off a bit, I currently have Pirrelli Scorpion's on and on long trips the mph is decent.

Thanks, Rob.

Noticed that BFGoodrich are bringing out a new KO2 - called the KO3 (surprise surprise).
Also, Goodyear have launched a Duratrac RT which is a 50/50 tyre which is slightly less aggressive than the well-known Duratrac.

As yet, sizes don't appear to be compatible with our vehicles but they are still in the launch phase of both, I believe, so the classic case of "watch this space".

I thought I would check in on this post from 2019 and it looks like it’s still popular! I’ve jumped ship from LR - they are the best cars in the world when they work, but when they don’t, well…

My new cars come with a 10 year warranty Rolling Eyes

Here’s a link to the Excel file if anyone fancies taking up the mantle and updating it - valid for 30 days.

I just bought the Duratrac RT's in 265/60r18. They are a stout tire, very rigid for offroad. Sadly it does not have 3peak snow rating like on other continents even though it was developed for snow use! That being said, its getting great reviews on snow and ice and is sertainly a 3pmsf tire, just that Goodyear does not want to spend the licencing money to get all the EU-markings sine the segment is fairly narrow. Im using this during this winter and can come back with some experiences in snow and ice.

Cheers

I couldn’t justify the cost of the BFG KO2’s for our L200 (though the current set has lasted 50k miles!) so I went for some Kumho Road Venture AT52’s which look quite similar and only cost £110 each fitted.

So far I’m really pleased with them, they are quieter than the BFGs and not quite as utterly terrifying on mildly damp tarmac!

I’ll probably be getting some for our newly purchased D4 when it needs some tyres
