[For Sale] Discovery 3: 58 Plate, Red XS £6900
Hello folks!
After much deliberation, I've decided that it's time to move up the chain after owning 3 D3's, into the world of the Discovery 4 later in the year. I'm currently heading back to work early next week and won't be home until early / mid October, so I'm speculatively circulating my current D3 to see if there is any interest.
We had a turbulent start to our relationship last year where we spent around 2 months going through 'Fault codemegedon', which meant somewhat of an expensive trip replacing various items that didn't need to be. Ultimately I gave in (lesson learnt) and left the vehicle with a Land Rover Main Dealer, to which they found the fault within half a day! It owed back to the wiring loom coming out of the retaining clip and vibrating over the engine, causing numerous error codes. Since replaced with a new clip and ran without a hitch since!
Current Status:
MOT: Due December 2019
Miles: 107,000 (approx, changes daily)
Interior: Cream Leather
Service History: Land Rover & Local Garage
Paintwork: Reflective of age, gravel rash on the bonnet and light scratches at the rear. Small dent of passenger side rear door.
Work Carried Out:
Timing belts replaced
Water pump replaced
Front pads & discs
Rear pads & discs
Rear handbrake shoes
Offside rear suspension arm
Offside rear brake pipe
Alternator replaced
Crank shaft sensor replaced (inclu fresh gearbox oil)
Injector No.2 replaced
Fuel filter & housing replaced
New tyres all round as of August
Transfer box replaced (ouch)
I've been using the LR as my company vehicle, so it has quite literally wanted for nothing!

Optimistically looking for around the £7250 mark.
