Is this the case with the Disco?

Hi AVE,
Not really, as at least the Driver's door must be unlocked before you can open the fuel flap. (Or is this only an Australian feature? Somehow, I doubt it.)

Best Wishes,
Peter

I think AVE means that you would usually fill the car up and then lock the doors and go into the service station to pay for the fuel.

When you return to your D3 you press the unlock button on the keyfob and it will kindly prime the fuel pump (with fresh petrol in this case) automatically.... Big Cry

I am very sure that the fuel system on a D3 does not prime when you unlock the door. It will prime when you turn the key to postion 2. Position 1 unlocks the steering.

If you realise your mistake before turning the key, you save ££££££'s Thumbs Up

I know it does on a lot of little runabouts (Mercs, Audis Whistle Whistle Whistle ) but logically Confused there's no point in the D3 doing that as we ALL WAIT FOR THE SYSTEMS CHECK BONG Very Happy -- Don't we? Shocked so that our EPBs, mirrors and cruise control work!

It was conceived as a quick-get-away ruse to coax the diesel-wary into buying small diesel cars IMHO.

Odd that TazDaz

You'd think with all the press about mis-fueling, they'd fly off the shelf. I'd buy two tomorrow.

Bill i am looking into the sales side of things if i get any info i will pass it on but a group buy could be a good idea (just to stop the SWMBO misfueling obviously)

currently The cost of the device is £50.00 + carriage and vat.
