Transmission/ Gearbox Fault.
I got a gearbox error/Transmission fault which doesn't let me use the manual shift mode and sometimes says restricted performance. However these errors disappear when I turn on the daytime running led lights.
Any ideas what the problem could be?
Cheers

Yes, when I turn the headlights on the fault disappears and I'm able to select S1, S2 etc..
Very odd..

When I do turn on the headlights I hear a very audible tick sound coming from the fuse box in the glove box. I've had a look and it seems it may be coming from one of the big groups of wires. Is there a chance that a wire is corroded or something?
It does sound like an earth fault. By switching the headlights on you are allowing some other system to earth properly though the headlight circuit. I would try to identify which relay is activating when the lights go on and start looking there.
I don't envy you trying to troubleshoot this!

Which model and year do you have? My DRLs are on regardless of headlights being off. Are these DRLs the dealerfit or aftermarket types?

My model is a 2010 TDV6 XS 3.0.
The lights are stock, haven't been modified in any way.
I'm still kinda unsure where to start looking from. Do you know which relay to check and in which location?
P.s I'm a total noob, don't know too much about this stuff
