Land Rover now designate the Disco 3 as Classic
So I logged into JLR EPC today and the Disco 3 has now been deemed a classic! The early RR Sport isn’t though....

It is certainly a classic, isn’t it?
Does that matter in terms of parts availability, their pricing or similar?

The D3 still had a more semi utilitarian interior and exterior. No real bling unless you bling it up.

I think the original D3 will be Classic. I’ve already heard that really good original examples of the early HSE’s particularly in silver, as per the ones used in Land Rover adverts, demonstrators and LRE vehicles etc. are becoming sort after.
I’ve no idea if that’s actually the case or not, but I wasn’t surprised to hear it.2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

It is a classic, there is a beautiful example of a 54 plate S model around us it looks good as new and gave me goose bumps when I first clocked it. I have dibs on my original S when the current owner wants to get rid and I can't wait
D4 not so much a classic, I think that was the start of a down hill path for the disco. The fairy lights were just so wrong.MY06 S - Gone but not forgotten
MY12 HSE - Gone
MY16 HSE Luxury - Sold

I quite like the fairy lights on early D4s TBH.
The D4.5 lights somehow remind me of transformers.

The headlights on the D3 are my least favorite. I prefer the ones on the D4.5 I just find the head lights on the D3 bulky and too much silver, whish they were black like the D2 2003/04 headlights which were a cooler design and I like when there is a finisher same color of the truck under the headlight.

Hi
Is there a link please
what I like about the disco is its versatility and not looking out of place what ever it’s setting

You need to register as an independent and wait to be authorised by JLR and then you pay your money. 1 hour, 24 hour, 1 month or 1 year.

I have an unmolested 54 plate in dark green. I bought it cheap with an injector fault and was going to give it to the wife. She can keep her Grand Voyager then!2004 Disco 3 HSE TDV6
