Tried this out the other day but when the limit you set is exceeded it seems you don´t get a bong as I was expecting, just a silent warning msg you have to select with the left stalk button - whats that about and its a bit useless or am I missing something (wouldn´t be the first time... )
Anyone´s work differently or is this the most unused user option Cheers

Mine goes 'BONG' as you reach the preset speed. Too many older Land Rovers to mention
If at first you don't succeed, Forget it!

Hmmm, I get BONG in other circumstances (ext temp etc), so the BONGér must be OK, and I get the text warning so I guess the overspeed detection bit is OK.... Cheers

what I considered to be a safe margin was at 83mph - for motorway driving about 10mph ish over the legal max
& it seems to bleep at that point going up to it.
Whether 10 mph is a safe margin of error I dont know but it seems that the motorways I drive on its the average fast speed - you dont "stick out from the crowd" by driving that fast. BREXIT - done properly.

Mine Bongs at EXACTLY the preset speed*, but you can silence the Bong (but still get the words of wisdom on the screen) if you press and hold the button for (guessing here) 2 seconds +.
I leave mine at 50mph for caravan towing on A roads, and press-and-hold when (95% of the time) I want it silent.
All other speed regulation is down to Origin b2 (mit laser) and rear-view mirror
Edit Edit Edit* speed = real speed from Satellite systems not that round thing in front of you which is up to 5 mph optimistic!
Edit ^ 4 which means the Satnav knows your real speed when the dial instrument is telling porkies 2006 D3 finally swapped for a 2016 D4 Graphite in Graphite grey. No mods

My round thing has been consistently within 1MPH of my GPS ever since I've had it - and if I set the warning to 70MPH, it bongs if I maintain 71MPH (by round thing) for more than 10 seconds.
I have no idea how it's continued to keep in step like this as my tyres have worn down which should make a difference to relative readings. Dr. Ian Malcolm:
"Yeah, but your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should."
Transgenic tomato anyone?
