Hi
can anyone advise me which of the Parrot Bluetooth car kits I should buy. I have had a look on Expansys and I can see that there are a couple of models but was unsure which is the one to go for.
I have spoken to LR about getting a kit installed and they have confirmed that it will be about £600 and will only have the voice recognition function.
I understand from one of the other posts that some of you have installed a kit yourselves and can use the head key pad...
Any other help will be very much appreciated.
Cheers,
MG. MG

I have two active Parrot kits, one is a 3100 and the other a 3500. Both are brilliant, especially the 3500 which is in my motorhome with its own sim card and GPS built in. It picks up Ericsson 910i and many others within about 2 seconds of the car being started. Very easy to setup and if I can do it anyone can.
I had one in another D3 HSE which is now gone and that was very good, but had to have the wiring modified as apparently it did not have an ISO fitment in the D3 cabling. Still worked brilliantly.
I have a basic Parrot kit in the Jimny and that is really brilliant, even that cuts out the radio and uses the speakers of the car. Took me about 10 minutes to install in that one a doddle. About to fit a 3300 into a new diesel Suzuki GV also now for MrsBN.

Thanks for that BN. I feel fairly confident that I can do it.
Does anyone know if the keypad on the radio will respond/work with the Parrot 3100?
It would be a shame to install this device (given BN's experience of how good it is in his other cars), not to be able to use the key-pad.
The post-factory fit LR solution for the money is not very attractive. I would at least expect to be able to dial a number on the audio system key-pad whilst the phone was in my brief case. Otherwise may as well stay with the earpiece bluetooth!!

The Parrot has its own keypad and readout on the better models and of course on the base unit it is just BTooth though your mobile.

I have bought the Parrot CK3100 and now am keen to fit it.
Does anyone know how the console comes apart so that I can connect it up to the radio?
I cannot see how to remove the radio or expose the connectors. Also does anyone know if the radio has ISO connectors as these are fitted on the Parrot CK3100 car kit?
My D3 is the HSE with the Premium radio.
Many thanks! MG
