Hi all
Apologies for the few minutes of site downtime, was necessary to set up the server for the new search functionality.
Following feedback from a couple of people at the South East Pub Meet last night I have modified the search facility to make use of functions available in the database server which DISCO3 uses, rather than using the outdated and poor-performing phpBB search engine.
The search page hasn't changed much, but you can now do "cleverer" searches involving multiple terms. Click the "Show Keyword Help" link to the right of the search keywords input box to pop up some help with constructing searches to try and find what you want
Please let me know how it compares to the previous search engine, and if you spot any problems.

Just had a couple of tries with it and it's much better for the way I look things up. Thanks.

Oooh, you don't want to pay attention to what you hear at those pub meets I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

So far so brilliant!
Thanks Martin! Now when I search Disco3 like I do in Google, I actually get results Dr. Ian Malcolm:
"Yeah, but your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should."
Transgenic tomato anyone?
