Noticed by slot in towbar had gone this morning
Dont understand how this could have dropped out, unless it was stolen for some reason.
It was locked in.
has this happened to anyone else.

Its most likely been stolen the locks can be forced with a screwdriver and new locks are easily obtainable.
Some ones going to make a few quid, they currently retail at £650.
You do know your not ment to leave them attached as it wears the socket.

I think £650 is a bit over ambitious but nearer £100 to £150 would be nearer the mark.
I left mine on for three years and the only trouble I had was getting it off when I eventually decided to and sold it for £100.

I have been looking for one for a while and they are going for a lot more than £150.
Managed to get a genuine one at cost but they have run out of stock and waiting for the next batch to be made.

Removable tow bars come up for sale on this forum now and then, usually around £170.
There are also a lot of posts on here about removable tow bars being knicked by . If it's not being used then the advice is always to take it off and store in the rear left hand cubby hole. Uncle Ray's spare wheel protector

A new OEM removable tow bar is on sale generally at around £345 inclusive of VAT.
£650 is a total
They are widely available S/H at very much lower prices, Google is your friend !
