| Northwest Help - Restricted Performance |

Can anyone recommend a specialist in the St.Helens \ Wigan area. At the weekend the restricted performance light came on whilst cruise control engaged on the motorway. Stopped and turned off engine for a short while and fault cleared. Carried on the journey and within 30 seconds of engaging cruise control engine seemed to surge slightly and light came on again.
Have continued to use the car on none motorway journeys the last couple of days and fault has not re-appeared, would like someone to read the fault codes and diagnose the cause as I don't have IIDTool or similar.
Would be grateful of any recommendations. 2010 Discovery 4 XS

So thanks to Phil, have established the fault as P2263-22 Turbo/supercharge boost system performance - General signal failure - signal amplitude>maximum
From reading the forums a few people have had this with exactly the same symptoms as mine happening at high motorway speeds. Looks to be caused by a sticking TSOV actuator detailed in TECHNICAL BULLETIN LTB00504v3.
Will take a look at the weekend and lubricate it and see how I get on before replacing it.

Try Holgate vehicle services based on the outskirts of Wigan they are a specialist in the area I've used them once a few years ago on a previous car very good and knowledgeable.

It's booked into an indy in St.Helens, the Lannyman, for diagnostics this Thursday. Booked in by the warranty company. 2010 Discovery 4 XS
