Developed a leak.. oily substance with green dye..

Hi guys,

Car has developed a leak, Near side front, there is a oily substance with what appears to be green dye in it, can’t see where it’s coming from.

Does any one have an idea of what the fluid may be? My first thoughts are steering fluid.

Does anyone have any ideas of where and what to look at?

Thank you.

Suspect it could be refrigerant out of the Air Con.

Or Predator and Arnie are near by.

I did wonder this as the air con hasn’t been it’s best and it may have failed completely.

It’s a slightly thick oily substance though, would this fit the bill with air con? Didn’t even know there was fluid in there..

Mechanic friend has just had a look and said air con fluid, I had no idea they had fluid in them, shows what I know.

Does anyone know roughly how much they hold?

Would steering have the green dye in?

At least the PSF I’ve got in the D3 is dark green, so yes.

Ahh ok, will have to get him to look again before we think about repairing it.

I’ll try and get a pic, it looks like very bright green paint.

With air con there isn't usually enough to reach the ground

Silly question but.... what color is your coolant fluid in the expansion bottle?
