Lower tailgate won’t open
Hi I have a 2014 disco 4 and the lower tailgate has stopped working top half open fine but when I push the button on the lower half nothing happens. Any ideas

Already read that. It all relates to the top half not the bottom

There are reports of a wiring break that van cause this, and also weak actuators. The solenoids wear over time and don't have the oomph to do the job.
I remember seeing a post on this, so will have a search.2011 MY D4 HSE
