D5 carry capacity

I know there are naysayers in the D3/D4 comunity (I was one of them I think, certainly was about the Censored end Embarassed ) about the D5's capabilties, but I have just had 9 (yes 9) 275/45x21 wheels and tyres in the back of my D5. OK the tailgate opening appature hight isnt as high as the D4 was so it was a squeeze getting the 3rd wheel to stack but the load area is longer so I could get two stacks and one standing behind. Happy with that Thumbs Up

Nice try Al ...but that 3 seater settee that everyone carry's around in their D3\4 all the time still doesn't fit Laughing

I'm guessing its a highback version settee ( Whistle ) as cant see why it wouldfit length wise as the D5 load area is longer. I couldnt get wheels and tyres in the D4 laid out the same way I just have in the D5

I can say that a full size 1950’s 3 seater will fit in a 3 or 4, and still shut the door.

Not sure the D5 would have the height.

I must say its the opening apature that is more of an issue on th D5 as I think its something like 4" lower than the D4

5 x 8.25 Mich XZL and 5 other rims in the back of a 90, so 9 in a D3/4/5 should be a doddle.

That's what I see as it's biggest issue.
