Are all Scorpion Zeros M+S rated
Probably a daft question but not much info on t’internet. Are all Pirelli Scorpion Zeros marked M+S?

Nice one Ordered some but the fitters reckon they are summer tyres rather than all weather tyres!?

He's right. There's a difference between All Season and M&S.
Is a tyre with "M+S" marking suitable for all conditions?
The answer is: not necessarily.
So, what does the "M+S" marking mean? "Mud + Snow"- is only a declaration from the manufacturer that the product operates in mud and snow better than regular models. This may be misleading.
When buying tyres, remember that "M+S" is marked on all winter tyres, but not all tyres with "M+S" marking have winter properties (see the graphic below).
You will also find "M+S" letters on some all-season tyres. The marking is also used on models sold in the US market, even though they do not meet the needs of drivers in the winter season.
In general, "M+S" tyres should have very soft rubber compound and a tread with more incisions to ensure better performance in the snow. Unfortunately, these features are not verified by standardised tests and may be unreliable.2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

Yup, I appreciate they definitely ain’t winter tyres. Just wanted to make sure they are all M+S rated. The newer Verdes come in both all season and normal versions. I currently have one of each on the front of my disco and Nexen Nfera RU1’s on the rest. Would like a full set of M+S tyres for muddy fields.

Just because it has M&S markings, doesn't mean it'll be good in muddy fields. Winter tyres have the M&S mark along with the mountain/snowflake symbol. Full on MTs will also have the mark.
A decent AT would probably be better e.g the new Scorpion All Terrain Plus or the Grabber AT3. Both also carry the mountain/snowflake symbol but, being ATs aren't as good as a proper winter tyre in icy conditions.Visiting from rrsport.co.uk

Scorpion Zeros are road tyres, some people would say they are the best road tyres for a Discovery. BUT muddy fields is a very different story. Pirelli Scorpion ATR’s or better still the new Pirelli Scorpion AT Plus might be a better option if you go into muddy fields. Take a good search on here about tyre choices, loads of different topics.

Thanks for the replies. I think a proper set of off road tyres would be overkill. Just wanted to make sure I the Zeros were M+S tyres. Like I say, the Verdes do a specific all weather tyre AND a summer tyre. Wasn't sure if this was the case with the Scorpion Zeros. The Pirelli website only shows the Zero as an all weather. Yup,I appreciate they are a 'road' tyre. I was told the Landrover experience vehicles use standard rubber so I'll stick with the recommended Scorpion Zeros and keep out of the deep sticky stuff!

Could you post a link to where Pirelli say that the Scorpion zeroes are All weather ?
