Rear camera fault
Well out of the blue we have a rear camera fault on our D4 2012. Quick google suggests anything from a dodgy parking sensor, wiring fault or possibly even the camera ! Moments like this I wish I had an ID tool . Faults are piling up on this, need to look at the EPB as well it wa flashing away recently. No garage to work in and weathers no great !!
Anything else that could be causing it? Hope to get a good look at the wiring possibly at the weekend.

This might well be the culprit ?? It looks like damage to the sensor. Was hoping it was a mark that would wipe off but alas It’s chipped! I’m guessing there is a high probability this is my issue? None of the parking sensors or camera is working. Comes up with the error on start up then disappears. You cannot select parking sensors on the button.
I had a very similar fault, also on a 2012 model! It turned out to be the sensor wiring trapped behind the rear bumper.
Good luck!

Could well be a red herring as there is some sort of bezel fitted.

What is being displayed on the main screen. It’s not urgent to get fixed I suppose but it’s just more stuff to add to an ever growing list

Mate of mine managed to get some error codes off the car.
B1B57
B1B58
Crude as his dongle thingy doesn’t fully work with the Disco. Google does throw up these codes as being PDC sensors and shorts to earth. Can you unplug the loom to the front and see if that would clear the fault. Assuming my fault is at the front?

B1B57 is related to the front parking sensors harness and B1B58 is related to the rear parking sensors harness.
IMHO, both harness at same time is quite unlikely........ may be is the parking ECU
You should use an IIDTOOL and check every sensor.....Discovery 5 tdv6 HSE Corris Gray Outback Engineering Limited Edition

Don’t have one , might be about time to now buy one !! However going the old fashioned route which is what I’m used too, where are the plugs connectors for both front and rear harnesses? Would like to meter out wires mean time?

Camera started working momentarily last night! Had not touched a thing?! Decided to remove the front grill and right hand headlight to get access to the plug today? Wiggle things around sprayed some contact cleaner on plug and socket! Seems to be back to life ? Sure it will pack in again..... can’t be that lucky ROFLOL
Seems quite straight forward to strip the front end down anyway!?! Too cold to do it just now, oh I wish I had and empty double garage

Going to assume it was moisture somewhere as it’s been working fine this last week??
