Yes I agree both look good but I love the exterior look of the offroad version as well as having the roof tent!!! Only downside of the Ranger is a box goes where the bike rack would sit on the Escape.

I assume it could be used while still attached to the D3 for quick overnight stops?

I like the kitchen awning too...

£55k is a lot of money for a 2nd car and using it as a first car just devalues it with mileage. My idea is that I already have the discovery (1st car) just need a funky small caravan

You can certainly fit a Hero Skybox to the Mini Caravan and to the Ranger.

They quite quite expensive when you add all the desirable extras though !
