Hi
I'm thinking about getting König Easy-fit SUV snow chains (pair) no. SUV 265 for my 255/60R18 tyres.
What's the current thinking on snow chains on both front and rear wheels or just the front?
Cheers

I guess it depends what conditions you are planning to encounter. Having taken many discos of various vintages through some extraordinary snow conditions in the Alps, I would opt for winter tyres and no chains. Disco 4 SE Tech (2015) Corris Grey
Renault Clio 1.2 16v (2006)
BMW R100RS (1981)
Yamaha XT500 (1977)
Triumph TR6 (1974)

Problem with snow chains in this country we don’t get enough snow, you would be putting them on and off as you go from well salted roads to snow then back again agree with above good winter tyres and careful driving Discovery 3 HSE 07
Discovery 1, Search & Rescue SE4x4 Responce
Fiat Decato motor home
Mazda MX5

Thanks, we normally fly then coach it to the ski resort but this year the wife has volunteered me to drive due to rip off plane fares! My issue is that this may be just a one off drive (back to flying next year) so don't really want to fork out £££ for winter tyres. I'll probably go for chains they're really just an emergency back up.
Cheers

Rather than go to the expense of buying have a look at hiring. Never used them but have a look at:
