does work though. But remember to put keep a door open so the thing doesn't go into extended mode or you'll be having to jack the D3 up for ages

My coil-spring D3 has a later chassis number than those recalled and has a factory fitted "screw jack" (according to a dealer's system), not a bottle jack.
Is this different to a scissor jack then?
