Restricted Performance-no fault codes
MY2011 138k Miles has just started going into restricted performance but when I read the ECUs no fault codes are stored. I can get it to go into restricted performance by clicking the paddle shift up into 4th at low revs and opening the throttle wide open, the revs will steadily rise then it throws up the warning. I’ve changed the fuel filter as it’s probably the cheapest thing to start with but it’s still doing it. No smoke and driven normally no issues whatsoever. The problem manifested itself whilst towing a tin tent so I’m thinking it’s load related. Any input greatly received.Club Exped trailer

What diagnostic tool are you using? Have you checked all the control modules?yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ

Cracked inlet manifold.
Check under the engine cover for oil misting on the top of the manifold and in the foam under the cover. When mine did this, the fault codes were "pending" so the IID didn't show them until I changed the setting to make it show the pending faults.MY2022 D5 HSE D300 - with extra nice bits added

I’ve checked under there first as I had an issue after the stealer had done the cambelt but failed to put my egrs back on properly and they was oil all over. No signs of anything untoward this time though.Club Exped trailer

Hi ent
With the IID tool, did you set the PENDING faults tic on? I had the same thing, after having a bit of a play found in advanced or settings cant quite remember there was a place for pending faults. Once I put that on it showed the fault - mine was •

Mine kept going into RP mode, just cruising gently solo up the motorway, again with no faults listed.
Would all go away after parking up for a while with engine off.
Would have no issues for ages, then blip.
Did it yesterday (first time in a couple of months, actually did it twice) and caught it this time with Pending enabled.

Booked into the dealer after half term, and will feed back what was the cause. Assuming they find it, of course!!
ETA: Must check under the engine cover for any oil, but suspect if manifold was cracked it would do it a lot more often. Mr Google is quite vague about that code.19?? Mine turned out to be a cracked throttle body, hopefully fixed now.

Thanks gvw, not costing me a penny as it's all under warranty other than inconvenience, but I'll certainly mention that to the dealer ship.
Take it then that yours was all good after you freed up that linkage?

Update
My D4 is back in the dealership for a second go at sorting the intermittent restricted performance.
First time they did a smoke test on the intake pipework, all good, and cleaned the MAF sensor.
And a software update too, apparently, although I can't pick that out on the IID.
It's gone again three times in the month since, so having another go.
They are not finding any cause at the moment, but I get the impression that the technician has not been told about the error code I'm picking up with the IID. Received one of those little videos they like to do and he said that the car was fine, no errors on dash or faults logged.
Have told them to check the CSOV/TSOV before they call me to give it back.
Update to the update...
Just got back from their second stab at it - seems that if their diagnostic tool can't pick up a fault code, then they can't diagnose anything.
Might give the LRA guys a call next time it happens, so if they can do any better.19?? Lightweight 3.5V8 1977 109" FFR 1987 110 CSW DT 1991 Discovery 200TDi 2000 Defender 110 CSW Td5 2004 VW Caravelle, that we won't talk about 2015 Discovery SE Tech 3.0 SDV6 Aruba Gold
