EURO 5 to EURO 6 Particle Filter |
|
Guys if I wanted to make my D4 SDV6 EURO 6 compliant is it just a case of changing the particle filter, guess I would need a certificate too of some sort ?

I think the certificate may be (almost) impossible to obtain.
If you are thinking of going down this route this is the first thing that I would investigate.

I believe it's more than just the DPF. You'll need all the new sensors, wiring harness, engine software, car configuration updates and any other software that is affected.
It would probably be easier to buy a Euro 6 D4 which would be one of the later face lifted ones.
Also, I believe that it needs to be able to support stop/start which means that you'll need to change the automatic gearbox, have a new starter motor, second battery and also PSDB fitted. 1972 Range Rover Classic 2 door V8

I’m sure that it’s the add blue that the key to this not the dpf
I would say impossible and even if it was I would think that you would be looking at thousands so would never be worth it best to sell it and buy a euro 6 one I take it your living in London as from april ulez will require euro 6 Disco 3 gone but not forGotten

Scanias hung on until the bitter end, saying for years that egr was as good as ad blue, now of course they are adblue as well.
I should add that VWs owners VAG own scania
Also dont forget theres tighter and tigher levels as Euro 6 marches onwards, I think its currently Euro 6 B or C.

Yes some vehicles don’t use add blue but are small engines
A discos engine would never meet
Euro 6 without add blue which is what we are on about on here Disco 3 gone but not forGotten

Well u may find that even though its classed as a euro
6 from what I been reading that wont be enough to be compliant by this time next year to drive in the ulez in London as without add blue the nox level will be to high Disco 3 gone but not forGotten

It’s ULEZ compliant, however that’s a whole can of worms as they’ve up all the classifications it seems and some Euro 5 are being allowed etc.
