Headlight levelling flashing d3
My friend has a d3 and upgraded from d3 to d4.5 headlights some time back. They have been working fine but for some reason the headlight levelling light has started flashing on the dash. Is this something I can look at with my iid tool? I haven’t added his vin to my tool yet and we had a little look, but couldn’t find anything on there to help. Will I have to pay and add his tool to fix the problem?
Cheers
Neil

When you say headlight levelling light is flashing.... which light?
Did the D3 originally have adaptive headlights with cornering lights or standard xenons or halogen lights or is it on coils as opposed to air suspension thus originally having manual adjustable levelling headlights. Also what D4 lights were fitted?

Are the lights dipping and operating the high beams as they should?
Are the lamps beam oatterns at the same height?
If you look in the D3 handbook it will tell you what the warning lamp means.

He’s swapped from the same headlight d3 to the d4.5 version. Cornering and xenon. Il tell him to look in the manual. From what he’s said everything is working as it should just he’s getting the light flashing on the dash.
It’s not showing as a fault on the iid so is there somewhere else I should be looking?

hi it’s my car this is happening to. The levelling function does not work with the new lights in. Is there anyone else on here that has done a 3 to 4.5 conversion or is it mainly 4 to 4.5?
