[For Sale] 2005 Discovery 3 SE
Hi, am selling my cousins automatic 05 SE Java Black D3 with 175,350 miles,
This vehicle was owned by a forum member for 7 years and used mostly motorway Leeds to London weekly.
In the year my cousin has had it has done approx. 3ooo miles as he lives part time in Spain and the UK. He has decided to live permanently in Spain, hence me selling on his behalf. The reason he originally bought this vehicle was that it had been well looked after by a forum member and as can be seen from below this vehicle has wanted for nothing, as it had to be reliable for the previous forum member for his job role.
See below items replaced:
New gearbox inc TC £3000
New front Diff £1400
Rear Prop £650
New alternator and battery
Lower arms three times
New suspension compressor
EGRs blanked
Serviced every year including Bodsy transmission flush.
Brakes discs and pads replaced numerous times and recently replaced hand brake pads
Transfer box seals replaced
New rear wheel hub and bearing both sides
Numerous front wheel bearings both sides
It has a BAS Remap, so gets up and goes really really well, LOL, with good fuel economy, approx. 27MPG.
Interior lights converted to LED
Disco Stick fuel burning remote.
Smoked side repeaters
Front & rear side window wind deflectors
12v N & S tow electrics
Fitted reverse camera where you have to use the 753 code on sat nav to access it.
Zenon headlights,
Latest COB DTRL,
Disco 4 Black tail lights,
Body coloured wheel arches,
HI line 6 cd Harmon Cardon radio with amp.
It has all the usual SE spec with seven leather seats that have been professionally recoloured in red and contrasts very well with piano black interior trim.
Sat nav with 4x4 off road enabled, arm rests,
LR Bluetooth phone enabled,
Smooth nappa multi-functional steering wheel, cruise control.
Fitted Goodyear Duratrac 255/55R19 111S tyres with 6-7mm tread.
Fitted wheel spacers to give that wide stance for extra stability.
Blacked out windows from B pillar,
Heated front and rear screens, two recently refurbished keys with new batteries and key fob cases,
full size Spare wheel with jack and accessories.
Chrome exterior door handles and door mirror
The car has some age-related marks on the body, such as stone chips and scratches as would be expected for a vehicle that is used daily, some of the lacquer has lifted on the back corner of the bonnet and there is a Chip in top corner windscreen which is outside field of view and does not affect MOT or driving.
And wheel nuts could do with a refurb or replacement.
She is very reliable and runs really smooth MOT due 2nd April 2019 low tax bracket, currently SORN on a private plate, the original will be returned to it.

I don't want to buy it, just wondered where the red interior came from? Is that a standard from LR option?Richard

The seats were recoloured, when we repaired the right hand drivers seat edge that gets worn out.
Funnily enough the red interior has generated loads of people on ebay wanting to buy it now, but as usual their wife wont let them, or they really want it but they have to sell there children first.
Had one guy wanting to come at midnight after his shift finished to buy it, two weeks later his shift hasn't finished yet
A reasonable offer from a forum member will get serious consideration
