Hopefully someone on the site will know the answer to this one? I have just had the first service completed by Stratstone, however notice that on start up the service indicator is still counting down (in fact its in a minus now).. Should this have been a dealer reset or as Stratstone put it "dont worry it will reset itself"!!?? Can I reset this myself or will I have to visit the dealer again?? Thanks in advance

You need to take it back, They should have reset it.
The service indicator starts counting down when you are within 600 miles or a certain number of days of the next service. The service indicator will appear in the odometer lcd display for about 10 seconds when the ignition is turned on.

Do all D3s have service indicators? My 06MY S didn't have anything come up on the screen at either of the 1st two service "points", time for 1st & miles for 2nd.

Any way of interrogating it mid way between services, just to see if it is there??? Mercs used to (prob still do) have the facility of double pressing the trip button to display when it is due, anything like this??

On mine (an 05 MY) the countdown mileage to the next service is shown when I first turn the key to position 1 before starting, but only for a few seconds. If you press the trip button during those seconds it shows the next service date! 2005 D3 HSE
