Sluggish under 2500 Revs
Morning Folks.
Heading home from work last night i noticed Disco was very sluggish, but only under 2500 revs, was needing fuel so added a additive when fuelling up, then took for a 10 mile thrashing. Took Disco out thismorn again and still the same issue. Anyone any ideas.
Cheers

Probably an EGR valve sticking open. This causes poor throttle up to 2500 rpm but the air quantity overcomes this over that rev.

Thanks Guys. For the info, had bothe EGRs replaced last year, but not LR parts, is there any way of a possible fix without removing EGRs again??
Thanks again for all your help

what year is your car
you can get blanking plates on ebay, which you could just fit if your car is 2004-2006 ish
later cars require a software patch
would rule the problem in or out if nothing else

Thanks Pete.
I done that to my old disco 2 this one is a 07 plate, I have had a look at the blanking plates I think this might be the way to go.

Probably want the discrete blank plates which keep the pipes inplace
now the MOT testers are starting to look
patch will be at least £100 ish

Do you not get a check engine light with EGR sticking open then? I seem to have sluggishness at about 1800 revs, throttle input doesn't result in acceleration.
