Have had removable D3 towbar, fixed D3 towbar and deployable RRS2 one. For the trailer occasional towing all are fine. If I was taking something live like a horse regularly, I'd have the fixed without any question.
The only thing that went wrong on the RRS 2 in 4 years was the deployable towbar - the return spring rusted through as is is not protected from the elements and salt and rusted through in 2 years.
If you get it new with the car it will fail in warranty though! Having said that, if you go deployable I'd take some anti-corrosion measures on it when the car is new.

We get a new car every 6-12 months so I’m not too worried about protection, just needed to check the deployable was ok, other option was detachable and I figured one was more permanent than the other, lol! Mike

If you are that worried about nose weights the car can actually weigh it for you.
HOWEVER....
Mine has failed TWICE each time requiring a new tow bar.
I currently have a RRS Autobiography as mine is back in for
1.) oil dilution (second time)
2.) gesture tail gate doesn't work
3.) rear door is wonky and requires repositioning and body work replacing/repairing.
4.) 2nd new tow bar
So right now not only would I not have a deployable tow bar I would not have a D5.
Should also add my car is 4months old and has done 6K.
