Didn't have time to check for the plug under the headlight yet (swapping out old AMK for new one and finished just before dark). But I did have a quick look at my front bumper and much like the one on this website logo above, I have fogs but no holes or blanks where I would be able to place the sensors. Hadn't really thought about this before but I guess that means I will need a new front bumper with blanks or possibly with the sensors if I buy one second hand.

Hi
I would assume if u take the front bumper off there will be the marks where u drill the holes for the front parking sensors
But the more experienced members should be able to verify that 100% for u

Just had a look and got some screenshots of the inside of bumpers , one with and one without holes for the parking sensors
Comparing them in the moulding it looks like a cross is marked inside the bumper where the holes should go for the front parking sensors
Yet again I might be completely wrong
If they are there I imagine the easiest way would be to use a small pilot drill to go from inside to out, then a holesaw to then go from the outside in, so get a nice neat hole
See what u think
PS, I’m going to fit some fog lights later on mine but looks like I’ll have to buy a front bumper because of the moulding inside , even buying a D4 bumper but don’t think it’s a straight swap without further mods ?

Aha, nice find! Thanks for sharing those shots.
Pete, yes and they are almost as expensive as the sensors themselves. I might add a Wants post to the parts thread for the whole bumper or the parts first before buying new.
The D4 bumper is another option as I have been contemplating going through a facelift. Just have to justify the cost in my head first.

what with a loom, connectors, sensors, lights etc, you may well find a bargain on ebay, even if you only use half of it.

Hi Pete
So in theory if I just bought front fogs complete with bezels and loom I could drill the fog light holes out on my existing front bumper plse
Many thks as always

Hi , glad it helped , was also intrigued myself if the markings were there on the inside
Going to fit some fogs on mine at some stage , will just stick with the basic D3 bumper
Been reading a few threads ref the D4 facelift mod

There is a white bumper on eBay that looks like it has the fog mounts present.
So check yours
