Had an interesting and fun weekend. MOT - Passed (even with EGR pipes blanked off, and LED's in indicators and side lights) AND then..
Swapping my slighlty noisey Transfer Box for a low milllage replacement, on the drive, on my own. My Disco no longer whines at me. Hardest part was removing the crossmember as the 4 bolts had rusted in soild.
So next weekend little project is see what failed in the old transfer box after 186k miles - If anyone wants me to take pics - just shout...Si

Always like a few photos.
My money is on a failed input bearing.
I bought one of these recently, very handy for gearboxes, transfer boxes and diffs on the drive.
