Oh no only the best a Bosch washer/tumble dryer. Best on fast spin apparently.

Now, I have some (living room) HiFi experience and for the life of me I can't figure out how can a passive suboofer (like the one from my SE HI ICE system) be energized in a car... In a normal loudspeaker cabinet the passive subwoofer is vibrating in response to another active speaker... The sub in my Disco is vibrating even when the tailgate is open, so there must be some source of power for that, not just resonance from the other speakers... The sub will derive its feed via a passive crossover network from a sum of the left and right feeds to the other speakers. This is common practice and simply requires good network design to work well. In the Logic 7 system, the sub will have its own dedicated power amplifier channel that will be fed from the head unit via an active (i.e. signal-level) low-pass filter. There will probably also be some equalization in the active version to tailor it to the car's acoustic environment.

OK, now this makes sense. I wouldn't call it a passive subwoofer though...
In this case the term 'passive' simply refers to the fact that the loudspeaker doesn't have its own dedicated amplifier and is driven via a passive network.
Incidentally, the type of system you were referring to in your earlier post where a loudspeaker is driven acoustically from the vibration of another driver is known as a 'parasitic driver' and is actually pretty rare these days!
