Hi B.B.
That was me, I did clock you and gave you a toot back but I was still a bit shell shocked as I had been rear ended near Bradford half an hour or so before, that’s why my tow bar cover was missing
Vauxhall Astra was a write off and I ended up just needing the bumper repainted and a few plastic bits
That’s why I was driving quite steady
First Disco.com sticker that I’ve seen and I drive all over the place
Yours looks very tidy too as you passed

And I thought you were driving steady because you were in 3 lanes of almost stationary traffic Just glad it clears for me where I saw you.
Spotted the tow cover was missing but too far away to see the damage, however, if your a cover short, I notice there is one lying in the centre of the roundabout at the previous Tesco junction
Thats a very nice red obviously the Astra driver wanted a closer look
Looks like yours may have been one of those that had the ambient temperature display error, unless you had it fixed? Does your outside temperarue dispaly always seem to be 3 degrees more than true?

Hi - temperature sorted thanks
Love the car - hardly any damage and when you look at the Astra it was much worse
For me it’s paintwork front and back and Re ceramic the paintwork oh and tow ball cover and ribbed top bumper protector

Well I hope by now the Third Party insurer have been in contact and agreed to meet all the costs.
The Astra certainly came off worse - did you get front damage too?

Yes unfortunately because when she hit me, in the moment I took my foot off the brake and she pushed me into the car in front

Well with that happening it may at least have prevented more severe damage on the rear.
Still a shame and hassle you can do without
Hope all gets sorted soon.

Thanks - I thought the same thing about taking my foot off the brake which allowed the front bumper to compress when it hit the car in front and helped reduce damage to the back
There’s not much hassle really - the paintwork guy I use is down the road and as you say the other insurance has already contacted me offering to pay

All fixed and bumpers resprayed and ceramic coating re-applied - hopefully it looks a bit better than when you saw it in the M60 😳
