New D5 production year.
When does the new production year start for the d5?
My understanding is, it’s October?
What changes can LR do? to turn things around for the d5
I haven’t spotted a new d5 on the road since January.
I’m expecting some major changes as LR dealers appear to be clearing the decks of old stock as they are offering 1.8% finance on all sales for July and August. I have never spotted 1.8% finance on LR’s before in OZ.

Why do you care so much about a vehicle you have despised since the outset? Secretly want to buy one ??

I was quoted September delivery for a 19MY, so presumably production is starting very soon.

MY starts can be rather flexible depending often on what changes are envisaged and what if any changes need to be made on production. Usually as stated its circa build for September/October delivery . The biggest variation I remember was 95MY, build started in January 1995

Doubt there will much change, the D5 has had constant tweaks since launch. The latest ones being the loss of the 3.0 petrol (UK market) and the diesel V6 increased to 306hp. Though one things certain there will be a price increase.23.5MY Defender 90 X-Dynamic SE D250 MHEV Pangea Green

Do your authorities collect (I assume yes) and make the info public on how many vehicles and what type have been registered? I’m guessing the V6 petrol has been selling as “good” as the D3 V8 petrol did in the distant past.
So in 8-10 years there will be a limited amount of D5 second or third hand owners who don’t have engine issues? I mean isn’t the diesel V6 the same engine as in a D4?

No, it's the RRS engine. Twin turbo and increased HP.
The new engine line-up and options are all on the UK Land Rover website. https://rules.config.landrover.com/jdxl/en_gb/l462/MY2022 D5 HSE D300 - with extra nice bits added

The straight 6 ingenium diesel is at least 18 months away in a D5.In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.
