Parking sensors fixed - finally!
Hi all,
Quick post to let you know that I’ve finally managed to fix both front and rear parking sensors on the D3 HSE.
I bought the car with a continuous long tone whenever I engaged reverse.
After checking the wiring and replacing all of the 8 sensors and parking sensor ECU, I finally managed to fix them.
The key seems to be that the rear sensor circuit seems more tolerant to after market OEM sensors. And they work fine, but the front circuit seems to be sensitive and you need to replace them with genuine LR sensors.
I bought OEM all around and only the rear worked. So after much testing and faffing, I decided to buy 4 used Genuine front sensors. After a quick paint in Stornaway Grey, I fitted them today and hey presto! All is well!
Didn’t even have to use my Foxwell OBD unit to reset the error codes.
Hope this helps someone, somewhere.

This may be the thing to sort out mine. I've replaced the front loom and all the front sensors only to have the pdc beeping intermittently as I set off on a clear road. I was told by bodsy that my front inner sensors were overly sensitive, changed them today but the fault seems to remain even with correctly numbered after market sensors. Genuine is next then!Dave
