Retrofit TV in New Zealand |
|
Does anyone know if I can retrofit a Television unit to my 2012 D4? I see you can get units on ebay UK but I don't know if it will work in NZ with the broadcast frequencies here? Thanks

I suspect you will need a lot more than the TV module. A search on here should turn up a few threads on what else is needed.
Not sure if the UK module will work or not - you will need to research the frequency spectrum and see if it matches here. Remember you will need digital not analogue.
There are some places in Auckland that specialise in radio conversions - might be worth talking to them as well.
Also, the job may be more complicated if yours is a Japanese import - that definitely affects radios and some phone connections, as the Jap domestic market used different equipment.
Good luck! King of the typo.
MY11 D4 5.0 V8, Bournville, lots of goodies!
Now departed: '85 RR Vogue, '94 D1, '95 D1, '70 SIIA, '97 D1, '04 D2a. All V8, except for the SIIA - but that drank as much petrol anyway!

Thanks - Looking at the frequencies I don't think a UK system will work. Will just have to remember to set the MySky box to record!
