This might be a project for someone. Dont know if it is possible to wire a cheap pay as you go phone so it phones a set number after it has been triggered.

Right, between Chris Tyler and myself we've got a workaround - provided you've disabled (i.e. unplugged) the LR sounder there IS a way of getting the alarm to trigger a GSM module 8)
