what interesting is what happens when you get the fault.
i.e just before you stopped the car and the car and the right wheel lowered.
If the graphics shows it going down and then suddenly up that is an indicator. (or vv)
or if the pic is different to what the car is doing (under fault conditions)

Hi pete
Think ur right u know , does seem a strange fault and indeed will be interesting to see what the fault is , where possibly one sensor is faulty and the other follows it to level
Or as u say maybe a wire that looses the signal drops then moves again so regains it ??

No help at all, but is that 300,000 miles on the original engine
Andi.
Yes it is, oil and filter every 7500 miles, original injectors, belts changed on time every time. Still got the original starter motor and water pump. No leaks , no smoke and it still averages over 28mpg. Works hard too, as it tows a plant trailer most of the time. In fact, apart from servicing, it has never had a spanner on it.
Oops, only just found your answer
I see it has been re-mapped as well, so may well work harder than standard too.
Your doing something right anyway, i stick to 10,000 mile oil changes with genuine filter.
Well.. , as planned the disco did another week of long haul trips and went into the garage for a session on far better diagnostic kit then I have. No silver bullet though as all the codes that showed up were the same ones my Faultmate chucks out. More copious checking and leak testing went on with no success. As desperation began to set in the technician went through the fault codes for the entire vehicle in case a indirectly occurring fault was behind it all. Only one thing cropped up which was an intermittent body control error . He cleared everything he could find and parked the vehicle outside with the suspension at normal height. Eight hours later it was still at normal height. On moving the vehicle the compressor kicked in and ran for a couple of minutes... no concern there but when he applied the foot brake the radio gave out intense interference which stopped instantly the brake was released. Parked up the suspension dropped at the front on to the stops within ten minutes. No faults showed except the body control fault again. Nothing obviously suspension related at all.
I asked him to change the brake pedal switch as I suspected that was the cause of the radio hiss which he did. Hiss gone... and bizarrely the suspension hasn't dropped since. No fault codes, no binging warning light and all four corners level. Body control fault gone too. Done another 1200 miles since then without any issues at all.... No I have no idea either. ef---g Land Rover 2011 D4 HSE, it'll be nice if it ever works!
2014 D4 HSE Luxury. as if one money pit isn't enough!
My old 2005 D3. Now sold after 362000 on the original engine!
Oil is cheap, change it often. 250000 out of my Disco 1 , 300000 out of the TD5 and 300000 out of the D3 ,and rising, all original engines , none of which had any issues ever. The lady who had my 300Tdi got it up to 327000 before rot killed the disco.. the engine ended up in a defender and is still going as far as I know. Oil is cheap!
