In the 90s I bought a car once with remoulds on it and that is exactly what happened driving it home, a great big chunk came off one of the front tyres. I would never use remoulds again, no matter what regulation says they are safe to use.

I don’t remember there ever being a time when remould manufacturers didn’t make claims about them being completely safe and reliable and that, with current regulations, all problems are a thing of the past and that “modern” remoulds are as good as new etc...
Just like manufacturers of automated roll over car washes, I don’t believe their claims of infallibility anymore now than I did then! 2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2

Otherwise deciding to do a whole matching tyre upgrade despite old tyres having thousands of miles of wear left on them.
I haven't used a part worn but my options are always open
Problem with part worn tyres is who knows what they’ve been through. They could have been belted up and down kerbs etc.

Hi,
Not sure that I would use them on D3/4 would have to research weight/ speed suitability
But
I am a fan of part worn Quality tyres, again you just have to double check what your buying and don’t buy sight in-seen, get the DOT codes for a start for the tyres age
After all we have All bought part worn, second hand tyres !!!
Well unless you have always bought a New car 😎 that is.
Many wheel and tyre sets change hands on here, I would go for quality part worns for a D3
Have used remoulds when rallying and they were fine took speed and abuse, it’s horses for courses and what your happy buying Transit! 2019
