Add my XXV back on the list pls - in Essex.
With a heated steering wheel that heats up all the way round
Just done a trip to the Alps and back in winter tyres. It blasted through the 1.4 metres of snow it was buried under, laughed at the ice on the Col du Lauteret and overtook the 2 wheel drive diddy-cars the French were attempting to get up the mountains in. Love my XXV

Heading to 5 years of top flight ownership 😀
Hard to believe nearly 5years in on the ownership front......worth every penny.
Had dealings with 3 separate dealerships in looking after my precious......OMfG.... hopeless!!!!
Just in for its 5year service getting quoted stupid figures for work. What about a discount on parts /labour? " Last time it was serviced with us was 2017..we tend to only offer discounts to loyal customers. Ok...I assume spending nearly £70,000 on a car with you makes me disloyal? How about 20%off then sir.
Fantastic product let down by Muppets.

3 yrs for me and just starting to think about a change to at FFRR but cant seem to justify the money
new defender ............maybe but think i will stick for another couple of years as only got 35K on the clock
i luckily am near a quality LR specialist West 4X4 (non main dealer ) so always get decent pricing imo
if you loose your tv picture anytime double check the cabling on the back of the tv amp under drivers seat ,,the loom wiring is poorly routed putting the connectors under undue strain and causing connection probs
a small adjustment with a stanley knife on the loom wrap sorted mine after a good tip on here

Just seen this thread, haven't been on here for quite a while.
Got an XXV a couple of weeks ago to replace my 2005 D3 HSE as my daily driver - it's feel so much more refined than the D3 & I wasn't disappointed with the D3. Keeping the D3 as a plaything for a while - would like to try some green laneing when it dries up a bit.

Thanks all, nice to be part of the club
Don't know if anyone can help me - all's been well with mine for the first couple of weeks, then I connected the caravan to it to check the lights on it & see about setting the trailer assist up, but couldn't find anything on the cameras about trailer assist. Got my IID tool out and had a look and found the following in the CCF:
• Tow bar
Without trailer tow attachment
• Trailer module
Not fitted
• Trailer stability assist
Undefined
• Trailer towing ball.
Not fitted
I set them all to fitted/enabled, but after the CCF uploaded I appear to have lost the audio system as per the post from Davethegeo here: https://www.disco4.com/forum/audio-cuts-166108.html
I've restored the CCF back from the backup the IID tool took when it was first connected, but sadly this hasn't brought the audio system back.
Any chance someone could send me a copy of their CCF from their XXV (IID -> Car Config -> email icon at the bottom right) - if not I think I'm booking a trip to the stealers.
Thanks
M

the bad news is its a dealer fix im afraid
my tale of woe :
Added remote FBH control to mine so needed enabling .
Bodsy from here met up and did the enable all good but noticed later no audio
met back up and he spent an hour trying everything to resolve including the obvious restore to previous but no joy . and he had done other XXVs so assumed i had an odd issue and something must have failed on re initialisation .As i was under warranty i took it to the dealer and asked them to sort.
Initially there was talk of the head unit / amp maybe packed up but after 3 days they decided to do a complete software restore from the factory vin specific build file from solihull
All was restored and when i questioned the dealer all i got back was dont know why it did it but its fixed now , sort of sledgehammer cracks walnut but job done .
Well 8 months go by and i have a tpms issue with my spare so now with my own IID tool i decide to omit the spare off the tpms ...................and yes you gessed it on ccf edit bang all audio gone again
spoke to Gap and after trying loads of further edits decide its something that can only be sorted by dealer with SDD kit so back i go again tail between my legs
This time 2 days same solution and £250 later feeling rather foolish i got it back and now only use the IID for diagnostic and not CCF edit anymore .. dont believe its a IID issue and they were very helpful but the only reason i came to was that my specific car has a corrupt file in it somewhere which perhaps had a specific factory patch which gets removed when you CCF edit but is reinstalled when the rebuild is done with its factory build file .
now you have experienced it perhaps its an XXV thing but take comfort in the fact that its software not hardware ,but i think its main dealer bound and i would tell them my tale if it may help.
dgardel had a similar issue but i think from memory it was only audio not other system related and so a different solution
keep me updated as id love to know what it is but suspect you will just get the sledgehammer solution
