New DPF on a 6 year old car ?? how many miles has it done, 1000????
low mileage and minimal regens are not a DPF's friends on any car but if your D4 is used regularly with occasional decent runs out, then the DPF should not need replacing so early in its life. Unless there is either a manufacturing fault or another fault causing it to fail.2011 D4 XS 305 MY12 - gone but not forgotten

46k miles. Likely caused during lockdown as my longer journeys disappeared but doing a couple of short 14 miles trips a day ferrying the kids to work and back.

The Ebay options don't seem to support my 2015 model (have asked confirmation from one seller) so may have to bite the bullet.

Has anyone tried an Evelex DPF? Although they don't advertise them they do have one for the Euro 5 Discovery 4. Approx £840.

as much as it may not be politically correct, a hole saw on a length of m10 stud, work all of the dpf out - get a remap...now you have better mpg, less turbo lag, more power and a nice sounding engine

Had to have the DPF replaced on the wife's evoque not long back and although LR paid the majority of the bill we had to pay around a fifth of what they said was a £2K bill ??? Did find LR Evoque DPF’s online for around £700-800.
Was told a few months ago that i had to have a new DPF on my D4 as the sensor had come out and was just hanging down and that it had been cross threaded in the past apparently??? I asked them to just weld it back on and similar and luckily a friendly tech used some liquid thread to hold it in. Wouldn't of fancied that bill for a DPF especially when it had nothing internally wrong with it !
I would definately be looking around at prices D4 HSE Lux MY16 Club Waitomo

A friend of mine runs a media blasting/cleaning company and bought a DPF cleaning machine (I know because I picked it up from Crawley and took it back to Scotland for him!) and charges around £150...plus return postage at cost... might be worth considering ?
pm me if you want his details...I want to see the sweets before I get into your windowless van... I'm not stupid!

Have ordered a DPF from CATS2U. Will report back if it fits.
