LRA Steel Protection Bar (NOT A Bar)

Have LRA always had the option of a steel protection bar? I hadnt realised if they did?

Yes, This was available when the vehicle was first released, Have fitted a few od these, just a note tho' if u have front park sensors they will need to be turned off. Have done this to a few customers vehicles as thats what they wanted!!! Confused
 D4 Alaska/Almond 2.7 TDV6 with E-diff & extra's.. Smile

Slimer, I stand to be corrected as the instructions & our parts catalogue say front sensors to be turned off/disabled. I havent had a chance to play with them & only disconnect the inner 2, but would assume the ecu would pick this & then chime as the sensors would be faulty....(Continually beep or such) Very Happy

I'm sure the official way is to disable all of them and doubt you can disable just one pair in software and as you say disconnecting them throws up an error. I'm pretty sure that back when TFC and me both had the bar fitted he disabled his inner pair (I didn't have front PDC on that D3) by putting a bit of butyl tape over them
