Heater matrix not getting hot so no heating |
|
Hi all, I have done a lot of work on my car, replacement engine etc and all going well but just can’t get the heater to work. I have replaced the thermostat, flushed the heater matrix both ways, keep bleeding the air out of the system but still no heat. The two heater pipes running up the side of the engine and along the left hand side just don’t get hot. Can’t work out have I got a blockage or an air lock ? Any ideas

Heater Matrix seem to be becoming very, very common as the cars age
Ideally, you need to confirm the blend motors are operating correctly, and the flaps are moving as req before condemning the matrix My D3 Build Thread

I have cleared all of the fault codes on the blenders, I thought I would have got heat going through the heater pipes as when I put the hose on the heater pipes both ways the water was free flowing.
