This may seem a dumb question but before I get riled rotten please bare with me.
I have never had a discovery for more than three years.
With my last one bought March 2015, I also bought the 5 year service plan, that is obvious that it runs for five years or 100, 000 miles as long as I have the vehicle.
My question is, does the LRA run alongside the warranty period ie for three years and expire with the warranty or is that something else ?
Is LRA another name for the Warranty ?

I've been thinking about what to do now the warranty has expired but hadn't thought about roadside assistance in case of a breakdown.
LR quoted me for 12 months extended warranty of £1025.00, Motor Easy quoted £840.00
As I've had no problems with this vehicle other than the Stop start which has now been fixed I am seriously thinking of keeping it.
What I am thinking about is taking up Green Flag for roadside assistance ie breakdown and relying on my local Indy, who is very good, for any major hiccups that may arise in the future.
I still have another two years free servicing which will have to be done by my local LR garage so that should spot anything untoward before it gets too bad shouldn't it ?
Can anybody think of anything I've missed.

Hi,
Regarding your service plan have a check of the wording istr up to 5 years OR 50k miles
So you could get 3 services 16, 32 & 48k or if you don't do many miles 5 annual services just bring the last couple forward a month or so to be inside the 5 years
Oh and think you can use any LR garage? Transit! 2019

Yes, mine is the five year or 50k but being retired and no regular trips my mileage is erratic, first year less than 10k, second year just over 10k and the same this last year.
I have been taking it for servicing to the garage I bought it from, some 130 round trip, mainly because of the warranty but once the warranty has expired I will use my local LR dealer until the free service expires then my local indy.
Five years or 50k seems to assume that most LR owners have spent all their money on the vehicle and due the usually low MPG, cannot afford the fuel to do more than 10k a year
