Ambit wrote:Yes I found the feed when side lights are on thereโs a pin for input from side lights so when engine is on and drls are bright out 12v from a power probe or run a length of cable from positive terminal on battery into any empty pin on the rear of the headlight plug and when the drl dims youโve found your input. Then wire the sidelight output wire into this pin job done
just trying to understand if the response below you gave, is that for dimming the DRL when side lights are on, or the indicator is on? im getting slightly confused, sorry!

d3 to d4 headlight flash not working |
|
Hi, first reply to a thread, since joining the forum. So dont
Have had the same problem, figured out how to get the flash working.
Needs 2 x 5 pin relays, then interrupt the dipped beam feed. Is fairly straightforward, got the DRL working also, dimming with side lights.
Happy to help, if need any further information.

Hi kra_yefujj01278 glad you got yours sorted, I know you say it's fairly simple but do you fancy doing mine? 2006 TDV6 - it's now got the 2016 headlights with signature strips. If you do, whereabouts are you? how much do you want cash and how long will it take? I'm happy to come to you regardless of how simple it will be. Cheers Jonny

Hi, once I'd drawn a diagram out on paper, and done a few tests on the car, took about 2 hours to do.
In other threads, I've seen people having issues, with the dash indicator warning light flashing fast.
To solve this, needs either a loadout, on each indicator circuit, or load up with a 21watt bulb.
Just a word of warning!! if use loadouts, they get very hot, so don't mount on plastic, must be screwed to metal, to get rid of heat.
I can give you some extra information if want. or perhaps make the harness, send to you.
More than happy to help.

Ah yes, I put resistors on the indicators so they are fine, all works good except for the flash when just the DRLS are on and making the DRLS brighter?
It's your call, I would live you to do them for me, name your price and I will come to you depending on your location (obviously on a day that suits you)

Hi does anyone have a diagram to wire up the relays on either side to get the flash to work?
I can't cope any longer without the flash working ๐

Hi did anyone manage to wire up the flash on your D3 to work with the new D4 headlights?
I'm guessing a relay feeding a live to one of the pins on the headlight connection block and a trigger from one of the wires to the relay. If so which pin needs the live on connector block and where do I take a trigger from as I presume dipped headlight wire is not live while Headlights are switched off?
Any help would so much appreciated as it's a nightmare without having the flash with Headlights off.
Cheers guys ๐ค๐๐
