As I was fitting the side steps this rather nasty bit of trim fell apart from around the rear wheel arch. None of the others have it and it just looks like a mud trap..should I replace or just bin it?

So after much browsing I ordered LED bulbs to replace the cornering bulbs and the fog light bulbs. I thought I would start with the fog light bulbs as it looked like a 2 minute job. As the car has done 155k I knew the fig lights were close to knackered but good replacements are about £80 and mine work perfectly they just look awful. After a forum search I found some great advice and went on my merry way to splitting them and turns out it was not condensation but the inside of the unit looked like it had been sanded! Quick bit of glass polish and they look presentable again. Not sure how long they will last as the chrome has started to fail but for now this one looks fine!

Braved the awful weather and took the other one out. Being glass the pitting on the front face will not polish out but they look 1000% better especially with the LED bulbs.
Quick comparison pic of old vs new

Had a spare 5 mins so decided to change my pollen filter. Car is booked in for a professional interior clean next week as its always smelt a bit wet dog. On removing the old filter it was dripping wet and smelt disgusting.
Looks like I nedd a new scuttle panel.

Thanks for these posts. I've enjoyed reading them. I bought a 57 D3 HSE on14th March. Went back to dealer the following week for suspension issue, brake warning light on and engine management. Picking up tomorrow morning and looking forward to driving around in it. Bought map upgrade and will probably change some bulbs for LED's as like lights and not candles in a jar

O was chatting to a mot tester the other day who informed me there are changes soon coming out. I think he said may that would make any led lamps fitted fail an mot.
I have led side lights in my landcruiser which made him comment that's is fine until later in the year but he will fail it next year.
