I would not be happy with this. ME should not have sent you to a garage incapable of repairing the vehicle. I’d be livid!

I assume that as a warranty is insurance, you can complain to the financial ombudsman. You need to write a complaint to the warranty company first and give them eight weeks to deal with it reasonably.

Have you contacted the dealer you bought the car from? 6 weeks is a really short amount of time to own a car before being faced with an issue like this, you'd like to think that any reputable and honourable dealer would want to assist.
It's a shame it didn't happen within 30 days of the purchase as you would have had the right to reject the car, which would be the best result IMO.
