Having obtained a trade card, how do I see where it gets the best savings ? already know it doesn't work for DashCams, SatNags etc..

As Carroll says online easiest way.
I bought an 019 battery for wifes car at 132 list paid 106 with the card and this was checked on the website before leaving home.

Same here, think they ask for a payslip and letterhead if you are an employee of a trade company, to prove you work for them
If you are self employed and in the trade they just need proof
BTW I found out recently you dont even need to carry the card, as they would take a shot of the card on my phone as long as the name on the trade card matches the payment methodMust stop buying shiny toys....

I had some business cards printed by vista print for a few quid.
Initially the kid in Halfords was a bit dubious but I just said, fine, I’ll buy all my stuff at ecp instead and started to walk off. He called me back and gave me a card
