United Kingdom 2008 Discovery 3 TDV6 XS Manual Zermatt SilverDiscovery 3

What about the leather? Is it the same in the commercial as the SE/HSE or is it (as I suspect) the poorer version that was being offered in the S spec?

Haven't a clue. I'm in the pauper version with cloth and muddy covers. Big Cry

Hi All,

Glad these questions on the Disco 3 Commercial are being raised. We are considering the purchase of an XS spec commercial with auto etc... but Land Rover brochures do not seem to give the complete specs and local dealer hasn't bothered to get back to us after 4 wks! Curious on the maximum front and rear axle weights as it only lists the distribution of EEC Kerb weight. Also, does anyone know the payload?

I notice the 5/7 seater Disco 3 has only 512kg payload. Five adults and luggage surely pushes you over the maximum gross weight of 3,230kg? If the Commercial XS spec has similar payload its not really a great deal by the time you get tools and a towbar on the back (and allow for positive trailer nose weight if towing) so could easily see it being overloaded.

Would be using the XS commercial for carrying goods in the back (occasionally) and towing a 16ft flatbed trailer a fair bit. However, given the potential lack of vehicle payload (for such a heavy vehicle), and the fact that the Disco 3 is not yet compatible with digital tachograph for towing, it seems a bit of a white elephant for our requirements especially at £ 30,000+!

Any thoughts on the axle weights and payload spec of the Commercial XS would be most grateful.
Thanks

James.

Andybb,

Thanks for that info. You wouldn't also have the kerb weight and gross vehicle weight of the XS commerical would you?

Sure I had that brochure somewhere but can't find it.
Many thanks.

James
