humm.
I just thought that if the buttons worked, at least you know you have a working battery.
Do you need a working battery on those to disable the imboliser ?
It's odd that 2 things have stopped working. or a clue

Ok,
So its solved.
After all time spent checking tracing and harnesses, modules and connections it turns out that there was a problem with the key programming not turning off the immobilser.
Unfortunately this has has been an expensive fix though.
£80 to get it recovered to the dealer
£160 for a new key
£190 for them to program the new key
£430!
